Reverse Engineering result in faster reach to market

Posted by on

Reverse engineering can be defined as the concept in which, the engineering procedures are being undertaken in the reverse order, to develop a modified product or a whole new product.

The reverse procedures refer to different actions in different areas of engineering. For example, in a product manufacturing industry, it refers to dismantling the whole product into individual parts. These individual parts are then analyzed, to increase the quality and efficiency of the product.

The reverse engineering services are being implemented in a wide range of industries such as the computer software and hardware industries, electrical and electronics industries, automobile, aerospace and product development industries etc.

Reverse Engineering Services are as follows:

Reverse Engineering 3D
3D Reverse Engineering
  • Geometrical analysis
  • Material analysis
  • Surface analysis
  • CAD modeling
  • CAE analysis
  • Tolerance analysis
  • Electronic evaluation
  • Electrical evaluation
  • Manufacturability tests
  • DFMA (Design for manufacturing and assembly) analysis
  • Quality control tests

The whole process of Reverse Engineering Services includes:

  • Data capturing: This is the initial step undertaken in the reverse engineering services. In this step, multiple views of the engineered product are captured using different scanning procedures. All the captured views are then registered to a particular three-dimensional point set.
  • Triangulation: In this step, a triangular mesh for the particular 3D point set from the various product views that are collected.
  • Segmentation: In the segmentation phase, the 3D point set is split into various subsets. These subsets are thoroughly analyzed and surface fitted.
  • Creation of computer aided design models: The CAD models are created by assembling the subsets in a new way. First, the surface models are created and then, detailed geometric and functional properties are added in order to give rise to a fully functional virtual prototype of the desired product.

In today’s competitive world, the products and services need to reach the market quickly. This is possible with the help of the reverse engineering services. The services have not only reduced the market reach time for the products but also have enhanced the product quality twofold by efficient analysis of the existing processes and technologies.
