The part was modeled using Pro-Engineer because of its excellent surfacing capabilities and since a lot of surfacing was to be used in order to get its complex contours and shapes while keeping in mind to maintain the dimensions and tolerances required by the client.
Locomotives : This is an general electric locomotives and a scaled down prototype model of it. This project was one of its kind since the input from the client were photographs and we started building the model step by step from simpler parts to more complex parts. The designer used Solidworks since the client insisted on having the output in the same software.
